Russian Strikes Hit Ukrainian Military Targets Overnight
Russian forces used FAB bombs with UMPK kits and Geran drones in overnight strikes on Ukrainian military sites across several regions.
Russian forces carried out another wave of overnight strikes on sites controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 19. According to Voyennoye Obozreniye, the attack involved the largest number of aerial bombs fitted with universal planning and correction modules, known as UMPK, used in recent months.
Russian aircraft hit industrial facilities, warehouses storing military equipment, and areas where Ukrainian personnel were deployed. The targets were located in the Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Sumy regions, as well as in parts of the DPR and Kherson Region under Ukrainian control.
One of the heaviest barrages targeted the area around Lyubitskoye in Zaporozhye Region. Russian assault groups have moved close to the settlement, which lies near the road to Orekhov. According to the latest reports, fortified Ukrainian positions and deployment points used by drone operators were destroyed there.
The pattern resembled the developments seen several days earlier in Krasny Liman, also known by the Ukrainian name Liman. After strikes on drone operators’ strongpoints, Russian units advanced on Ukrainian positions from several directions and eventually took control of a significant part of the city.
In Dnepropetrovsk Region, FAB bombs equipped with UMPK modules were used against targets in Vasilykovka. Components for drones, as well as assembled UAVs intended for the Ukrainian armed forces, were reportedly buried under rubble in an industrial zone.
A series of FAB strikes with UMPK modules was also recorded at industrial sites in Kharkov and nearby areas. Several fires broke out overnight, including at a facility where fuel and lubricants were stored.
Russian strikes also hit Ukrainian forces and infrastructure in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and on the northwestern outskirts of Konstantinovka.
Alongside aerial bombs, Russian forces used Geran-type drones overnight. Strikes involving these UAVs were recorded against targets in the Nikolayev, Kharkov, Poltava, Chernigov and Sumy regions.
