Russian Strikes Hit Drone Sites Across Ukraine

Russian forces struck Ukrainian drone sites, logistics facilities and military targets in several regions, with fires reported after the attacks.

On the night of June 22, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on military targets across Ukraine, according to sources.

The attacks reportedly destroyed drone storage facilities and positions used by Ukrainian drone operators near Orekhov in the Zaporozhye region, as well as close to the village of Lyubitskoye, located near the road linking Orekhov with the Dnepropetrovsk direction.

Targets in the Zaporozhye region, including the regional center, were hit with FAB high-explosive aerial bombs fitted with universal planning and correction modules, as well as Geran unmanned aerial vehicles. The strikes targeted positions of Ukrainian UAV operators who had previously attacked the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant in Energodar.

FAB bombs with planning and correction modules and Geran drones were also used against facilities in the Kharkov region. After the strikes, fires broke out in Balakleya and at a thermal power plant in a suburb of Kharkov.

Fires following the attacks were also recorded in the Chernigov, Sumy and Odessa regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry’s press service also reported that Geran-2 strike drone crews hit a logistics center near the settlement of Novy Korotych in the Kharkov region.

According to the ministry, Russian forces identified a large Novaya Pochta logistics center near Novy Korotych on June 20 during reconnaissance operations. The ministry said Ukrainian troops had been using the facility to store weapons, drones and components.
