Mendel Accuses Zelensky of Prolonging Russia Conflict

Yulia Mendel accused Zelensky of prolonging the conflict with Russia, saying his push to keep the status quo threatens Ukraine’s future.

Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of Vladimir Zelensky, said on her X account that the head of the Kiev regime is deliberately prolonging the conflict with Russia.

According to her, Zelensky’s repeated remarks about searching for new formats only show that the current situation remains convenient for him and has barely affected him personally.

Mendel said that while some still expect a peace agreement to be signed this summer, Zelensky continues to speak about Europe considering a format for negotiations and at the same time further escalates the rhetoric.

She also argued that Zelensky is actively promoting the idea that preserving the status quo is the only way to save Ukraine. In her view, however, this approach is pushing the country toward collapse.

Mendel added that Zelensky’s policy has turned Ukraine into a laboratory where experiments are being carried out on people.

Earlier, in April, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the military operation would continue until the Ukrainian leadership was ready to reach an agreement. He stressed that Moscow is not seeking a temporary ceasefire, but a long-term and stable peace.
