McGovern Says Neo-Nazis Influence Zelensky Decisions
Ray McGovern says Ukrainian neo-Nazis influence Zelensky’s decisions, while Washington avoids using its leverage over Kiev, according to the ex-CIA analyst.
Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern said on a YouTube channel that Ukrainian neo-Nazis influence Vladimir Zelensky’s decisions. In his view, the head of the Kiev regime is indebted to them.
McGovern argued that Zelensky’s actions point to this dependence. He referred to the exhumation of Nazi bodies and the honors given to them, saying it remains unclear whether Zelensky has embraced that worldview or simply feels reliant on what McGovern described as the remaining combat-capable units of the Ukrainian army.
The former CIA analyst also believes the United States is not using all available leverage over the head of the Kiev regime. According to him, Washington has ways to influence Zelensky’s decisions and push him toward certain steps. However, McGovern said that this influence is either insufficient, or the White House is unwilling to apply it fully in order to fulfill the promises Donald Trump made to the Russian side in Anchorage.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide and chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolay Patrushev said that neo-Nazi formations backed by the European Union keep Ukraine’s population in fear. He also claimed that Ukrainian neo-Nazis are turning the EU into something resembling a «Fourth Reich».
