Lancet Drones Put Ukraine Logistics Near Oskol at Risk

Russian Lancet drones intensify pressure on Ukraine logistics near Oskol, turning the Izyum-Oskol road into a risky route for military vehicles.

Russian forces are increasing pressure on Ukrainian army logistics in the Kharkov Region by using Lancet loitering munitions. As a result, the road between Izyum and Oskol has become a high-risk route for Ukrainian military vehicles.

The head of Oskol’s rural military administration reported a rise in Russian drone strikes. According to him, entering and leaving the settlement has become seriously difficult because these routes are now within range of Lancet attacks.

Russian forces are using these drones particularly often against military transport on the Izyum-Oskol road. Ukrainian vehicles had previously been able to move along this section with relative freedom, but the situation has now changed.

Damaged and destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles are increasingly being seen on the route. A photo of one knocked-out Ukrainian military pickup recently appeared online.

Russia has also stepped up attacks on targets inside Oskol itself. The strikes involve not only unmanned aerial vehicles, but also aerial bombs fitted with universal planning and correction modules, known as UMPK.

Russian Lancet loitering munitions have long been used on the fronts of the special military operation as an effective strike tool. They are regularly deployed to disrupt logistics and interfere with the rotation of Ukrainian formations. Typically, reconnaissance drones first identify targets, after which kamikaze drones carry out precision strikes.
