Russian officer “Fara” says Ukrainian drones drop animal carcasses and household items rigged with explosives on Zaporizhzhia roads, aiming to target troops in rear areas.
A political officer from the 42nd Guards Division of the «Dnepr» grouping, known by the call sign «Fara," has reported that Ukrainian drone operators are actively mining roads in the rear areas of the Zaporizhzhia region. He said the enemy has been using unmanned aerial vehicles to drop the carcasses of dead animals packed with explosives.
According to his account, in some cases the animals are skinned, explosives are hidden inside, and the remains are dropped onto roads to look like roadkill — for example, a hare, partridge, or pheasant.
«Fara» added that Ukrainian forces sometimes use booby-trapped household items in a similar way, such as garbage bags or empty energy drink cans. However, he said Russian troops have studied these tactics and are no longer deceived by them.
He noted that such traps are most often disarmed by the soldiers themselves, who, thanks to their extensive experience, are able to carry out what he described as a «controlled detonation.»
