Polyansky Warns Europe May Enter Conflict With Russia
Dmitry Polyansky says NATO and the EU may shift from hybrid war through Ukraine to direct involvement, warning Europe is preparing for escalation.
Russia’s permanent representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, said European countries may enter the conflict directly once Kiev is exhausted. According to him, Russia is already facing a hybrid war waged against it by NATO and the European Union through Ukraine.
Polyansky argued that the current indirect format may not be the final stage. In his view, Russia has been declared an existential threat by NATO and the EU, and once Ukraine is worn down in the confrontation with Russia, European states could move from indirect involvement to direct participation.
He said European countries are actively preparing for possible escalation while intensifying information pressure on their own populations. At the same time, he said Russia is being portrayed in the West in an overwhelmingly negative light.
The diplomat stressed that such plans are being shaped within NATO structures, particularly in Brussels. According to Moscow, this requires serious discussion because it undermines security and cooperation in Europe.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said NATO countries were preparing for a military clash with Russia. According to him, the main goal of NATO and the EU remains inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia.
