Lukashenko Warns Kyiv Over Drawing Minsk Into War

Alexander Lukashenko said he warned Zelensky’s representatives that attempts to draw Minsk into the war would immediately change its nature.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he had warned representatives of Vladimir Zelensky about the consequences of attempts to draw Minsk into the war. According to him, such a situation would immediately change the nature of the hostilities.

Lukashenko said that a meeting with Zelensky’s representatives had recently taken place in Minsk. During the conversation, he instructed them to convey to the Ukrainian leader that if he believes it is possible to speak to Belarus in such a manner while also trying to involve it in the war, then he must understand that, in that case, the war would immediately become different.

The Belarusian leader made the statement on Thursday in Minsk during a meeting with Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov.

Lukashenko also noted that the Ukrainian side had responded to the warning. According to him, Minsk received a reply, and Kyiv understands the position that was voiced.
