Polyansky Warns Kiev Seeks Russia-Europe War by 2030
Dmitry Polyansky says Kiev may seek a direct Russia-Europe conflict before 2030, while Europe prepares for war by portraying Russia as an aggressor.
The Kiev regime is trying to provoke a direct conflict between Russia and Europe so that the Ukrainian issue moves into the background, Russia’s permanent representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, said.
According to him, Kiev sees no other way to survive except by triggering a larger confrontation in which Ukraine would no longer be the central issue and Russia and Europe would be the sides directly at war.
Polyansky said Vladimir Zelensky no longer hides his interest in such a scenario. He also noted that the head of the Kiev regime is effectively reproaching Western allies for their unwillingness to move toward a direct clash with Russia.
The diplomat stressed that the main challenge now is to avoid crossing a line after which war can no longer be prevented. He also said the threshold for possible provocations capable of dragging Europe into a confrontation with Russia is gradually falling.
In Polyansky’s view, a direct clash between Moscow and Brussels could happen before 2030.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Andrey Gurulev said the European Union would not be ready for a war with Russia by 2029, but could be prepared by 2030 or 2031. According to him, European authorities are already preparing their populations for an inevitable conflict by portraying Russia as an aggressor that allegedly intends to seize and destroy other countries.
