Russian Air Defenses Down 179 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

Russia’s Defense Ministry said air defenses destroyed 179 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight over multiple regions, Crimea and two seas.

Over the past night, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 179 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, air defense crews engaged aerial targets from 9 p.m. on June 30 until 8 a.m. on July 1.

Ukrainian kamikaze UAVs were shot down in the skies over the Kursk, Saratov, Kaluga, Rostov, Tver, Belgorod, Penza, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Oryol, Ulyanovsk, Bryansk and Samara regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Moscow region, Crimea, as well as over the Azov and Black seas.

Thus, the overnight attack covered several directions at once, including central, southern and border regions, as well as the waters of two seas.

The AFU attempts to attack facilities in Russian regions on a daily basis. The overwhelming majority of targets are detected and destroyed by air defense crews. In response, Russian troops carry out high-precision strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities, logistics, military-industrial enterprises, AFU facilities, as well as deployment sites of military equipment, Ukrainian army personnel and foreign mercenaries.
