July 1 Frontline Update: Russia Advances in Ukraine

July 1 frontline update covers fighting in Sumy, Kharkov, Krasny Liman, Krasnoarmeysk and Gulyaypolye directions as Russian forces advance.

The Russian Armed Forces continue the special military operation in Ukraine. As of July 1, the situation on the front lines is developing as follows.

In the Sumy direction, fighting is underway for Maryino. Clashes are also continuing along the Bachevsk-Sopych line.

In the Kharkov direction, Russian forces are expanding their zone of control in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. Heavy fighting continues in Kupyansk. On the Volchansk section of the front, battles are taking place near Beliy Kolodez and Zemlyanoy Yar, as well as around the settlements of Budarki and Zemlyanki.

In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian assault units continue to envelop Krasny Liman. Fighting is underway in the city center near the railway tracks and farther north, near Lakes Liman and Goluboye. Russian forces have taken control of the village of Malinovka, located 10 kilometers east of Kramatorsk and 15 kilometers southeast of Slavyansk.

In the Krasnoarmeysk direction, Russian troops have advanced north of Grishino toward Shevchenko and the village of Dobropolye from Novoaleksandrovka and Vasilevka. Russian forces have also expanded control over areas on the approaches to Belitskoye. Russian units have reached the eastern outskirts of Dobropolye.

In the Gulyaypolye direction, Russian forces are advancing west of Vozdvizhevka. The Russian army has taken control of the village of Lesnoye. Four kilometers southwest of Vozdvizhevka, Russian troops also established control over the settlement of Rovnoye.
