Russian Fighter Describes Clearing of Bogodarovka

A Russian fighter said troops cleared Ukrainian strongpoints in Bogodarovka while facing drones, mined bodies and abandoned winter-clad soldiers.

During the liberation of Bogodarovka in the Dnepropetrovsk region, Russian fighters covertly approached Ukrainian strongpoints and cleared them in close combat. This was reported to TASS by a rifleman of the 36th Brigade of the Vostok group of forces with the call sign Dolgan.

According to the serviceman, assault troops had to act as carefully and discreetly as possible because Ukrainian drones were hunting them. When approaching AFU positions, the fighters lowered the volume of radio communications, moved at a distance from one another, got close to the strongpoint, then threw grenades into it and carried out the clearing.

Dolgan noted that it was this method that allowed Russian units to clear most of the Ukrainian strongpoints in Bogodarovka.

After entering the positions, Russian fighters found dead Ukrainian soldiers dressed in winter uniforms. According to the TASS source, the bodies were still lying in the strongpoints in winter padded jackets. He linked this to the fact that Ukrainian soldiers had remained in their positions for a long time without rotation and effectively without supplies.

Mining posed a separate danger during the clearing. Dolgan said that Ukrainian soldiers in Bogodarovka had mined the bodies of their dead fellow servicemen. Therefore, when entering the strongpoints, Russian fighters had to carefully check the area, act cautiously and remove tripwires.

On June 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the liberation of the settlement of Bogodarovka in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
