Russian Strikes Hit Ukraine Oil Refining Facilities

Yan Gagin and Sergey Lebedev report Russian strikes on Ukrainian rear facilities, oil refineries in Kramatorsk and Akhtyrka, and drone storage sites.

Russian forces are actively striking Ukrainian rear facilities in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, including military-industrial sites, military-political analyst Yan Gagin said.

According to him, Russian troops are targeting industrial areas where Ukrainian fortified positions are located. He said rear support facilities and repair workshops are also being hidden in the same zones.

Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolayev underground, also reported serious damage to Ukraine’s oil refining infrastructure. According to him, the Kramatorsk oil refinery was recently hit, and its area is larger than the city of Slavyansk.

Lebedev described Sumy Region as another important oil refining area in Ukraine. He said heavy strikes also hit Akhtyrka, where small refineries were targeted first. These facilities are not large, he noted, but there are many of them, and each requires repairs after being hit.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, over the past day Russian forces struck fuel and energy infrastructure used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as sites used for storing and assembling drones.
