Ukrainian Drone Hits Minsk–Anapa Bus in Bryansk Region

A Ukrainian drone hit a Minsk–Anapa passenger bus near Krasny Kamen in the Bryansk Region, injuring two drivers and halting border crossing operations.

A passenger bus travelling on the Minsk-Gomel-Anapa route was attacked by a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone on July 2 near the settlement of Krasnaya Gora in the Bryansk Region, News.by reported.

The strike hit the vehicle while it was parked near the Krasny Kamen border crossing. There were 19 passengers on board at the time. According to available information, the drone struck the front section of the bus.

Both drivers, residents of Belarus’s Gomel Region, sustained minor injuries. They received medical assistance at the scene and refused hospitalization.

After the attack, the Krasny Kamen border crossing was temporarily suspended. A queue of cars and buses began building up on the approach to the checkpoint.

The strike was later confirmed by acting Bryansk Region Governor Yegor Kovalchuk. He said the tourist bus was travelling from Minsk to Anapa through the Zlynkovsky District when it was hit by a drone. Kovalchuk described the attack as deliberate and said two drivers had been injured.

According to the acting regional head, a medical team arrived at the site immediately and provided the necessary assistance. Psychologists worked with passengers at a temporary accommodation facility, where hot meals were also arranged.

Kovalchuk also said Belarusian citizens were transported to the Gomel Region, while six Russian nationals were placed in temporary accommodation centers.

Earlier, on June 17, a Ukrainian drone attacked a passenger bus carrying a children’s football team from Belarus as it travelled through the Bryansk Region to Gelendzhik for a holiday. A woman accompanying the underage athletes was killed in that attack.
