Kolesnik Urges Vigilance Over Ukraine’s SBU Operation
Andrey Kolesnik says Ukraine’s 40-day SBU operation has brought no breakthrough, urging vigilance after Russian strikes on military-linked sites.
State Duma Defense Committee member Andrey Kolesnik said Ukraine has so far shown no breakthrough decisions or actions against Russia. He made the comment while assessing the 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine recently announced by Vladimir Zelensky.
Kolesnik said Russian authorities are detaining sabotage groups that had been preparing attacks on railway infrastructure and other industrial facilities. According to him, the suspects are already giving testimony. He stressed that neither the special services nor the public should lose composure or vigilance.
The deputy also said the massive retaliatory strike by the Russian Armed Forces on enemy facilities was not only a response, but also a preventive signal to the Kiev regime.
According to Kolesnik, Russian forces struck sites that support Ukraine’s military-industrial complex. These included drone assembly locations, railway hubs, processing facilities and infrastructure linked to the activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops had carried out a large-scale retaliatory strike on facilities in Ukraine. The ministry said the attack used high-precision air-, ground- and sea-launched missiles.
