Russian Air Defense Downs 155 Ukrainian Drones

Russian air defense destroyed 155 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones overnight over multiple regions, Crimea, and the Azov and Black Seas.

Overnight, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 155 aircraft-type drones launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at Russian territory. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, the attack lasted from 8:00 p.m. on July 2 until 7:00 a.m. on July 3. During this period, air defense crews on duty shot down Ukrainian UAVs over several Russian regions, as well as over maritime areas.

The drones were destroyed in the skies over Bryansk, Kaluga, Rostov, Tver, Belgorod, Smolensk, Kursk and Tula Regions, Krasnodar Territory, the Moscow Region, the Republic of Crimea, as well as over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.

As a reminder, Ukrainian kamikaze drone attacks occur daily, but the vast majority of drones are shot down by Russian air defense forces. In response, the Russian Armed Forces carry out high-precision strikes on AFU facilities and Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, as well as on Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries.
