Sources report that Ukrainian junior officers are allowing soldiers to leave positions without orders amid chaos and low morale on the Kharkov front line.
Russian security sources told journalists that junior officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been deliberately allowing their subordinates to leave their units without authorization. Such incidents, they said, have been recorded on the Kharkov front line of the conflict.
According to a source cited by TASS, there have been multiple cases in the Kharkov direction where junior commanders intentionally released their personnel, effectively permitting unauthorized absences from duty.
The source explained that many lower-ranking Ukrainian officers resorted to such actions because they no longer trusted the competence of their higher command, which continued to issue unrealistic and unachievable combat orders.
He added that the highest number of such cases was documented in the 425th Separate Assault Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The situation of the Ukrainian army on the front lines, according to the report, is becoming increasingly difficult. This worsening state is attributed not only to the sustained pressure of Russian offensive operations but also to the chaotic and irrational decisions of the Ukrainian command, which often sends its troops into hopeless and deadly situations.
A recent example highlighted in the report described how an entire Ukrainian unit was destroyed after losing contact with its command post. It later emerged that the officers stationed there had abandoned their post in the midst of the battle to celebrate «Defender of Ukraine Day," leaving the frontline troops without communication or leadership.
