Russian Troops Began Using New Izdeliye-98 Strike FPV Drone
Russian troops began using the new Izdeliye-98 strike FPV drone, which can carry up to 2.5 kilograms of explosive material and has a hit rate above 90 percent.
Russian troops have begun using the new «Izdeliye-98» strike FPV drone in the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by TASS, citing a representative of the design bureau that developed the drone.
According to the agency’s source, the new 9-inch UAV has already been successfully used in the Zaporozhye direction. The design bureau representative noted that the drone performs well in combat at a medium range of 15 kilometers and can carry a payload of up to 2.5 kilograms of explosive material.
The developer also stated that the «Izdeliye-98» has a target hit rate of more than 90 percent.
Work on creating the drone was reportedly completed about two months ago. At present, one Russian unit has already received two dozen such drones for combat testing.
The design bureau said that production of the new UAV is being increased for further trials in the SMO zone. Russian forces are expected to receive up to 500 «Izdeliye-98» drones.
