Zelensky Denied Russian Reports on Konstantinovka Liberation

Vladimir Zelensky denied Russian military reports about the liberation of Konstantinovka and claimed the city remains under Ukrainian Armed Forces control.

Vladimir Zelensky rejected the Russian military’s report about the liberation of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The head of the Kiev regime claimed that the city allegedly remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Zelensky published his statement on his Telegram channel after a phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. According to him, during the conversation, the sides discussed the situation on the front line.

Zelensky claimed that on the eve of US Independence Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly decided to spread false information about the situation by announcing the capture of Konstantinovka. According to the head of the Kiev regime, the report about the city’s liberation was another Russian lie intended to create a news event.

In addition, Zelensky said that if Konstantinovka was indeed under the control of Russian troops, Putin could meet him in that city and discuss diplomatic solutions to finally end the conflict. At the same time, he expressed the opinion that the Russian president would not come to the front line.

Earlier, Russian military officials reported to Vladimir Putin that full control over Konstantinovka had been established. The Russian president visited one of the auxiliary command posts of the Joint Group of Forces, where he was briefed on the liberation of the city.
