New FAB Bombs Helped Russia Take Konstantinovka
Vitaly Kiselev says new Russian FAB bombs disrupted Ukrainian logistics routes linking Konstantinovka with Druzhkovka and Kramatorsk.
Military expert Vitaly Kiselev said the use of new modifications of Russian high-explosive aerial bombs played a key role in the liberation of Konstantinovka.
According to Kiselev, Russian Aerospace Forces operated with high precision over the past week, striking enemy firing positions almost every day and night. He said the new FAB bombs equipped with control modules delivered a major effect during their use.
The expert noted that Russian aviation strikes over the same period disrupted the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ supply system. According to him, the attacks hit logistics routes linking Konstantinovka with Druzhkovka and Kramatorsk.
The full transition of Konstantinovka under the control of the Russian Armed Forces became known on July 3. President Vladimir Putin was briefed on the development during a meeting at one of the auxiliary command posts of the Joint Group of Forces.
Military channels also reported that units of the 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and adjacent formations played the main role in the fighting. At the same time, sources noted that it is still premature to describe the city as completely empty: pockets of enemy resistance may remain in buildings, basements and separate shelters.
