Russian Strikes Hit Ukraine Fuel and Logistics Sites

Russian strikes hit Ukraine’s fuel, energy and logistics infrastructure, targeting airfields, drone sites and supply hubs across multiple regions.

The Russian Armed Forces have carried out another series of strikes on infrastructure used to supply Ukrainian units with ammunition and fuel, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on July 5.

According to the ministry, the strikes hit military airfields, transport facilities, fuel and energy infrastructure, sites involved in the production and storage of long-range drones and their components, logistics centers, and temporary deployment points used by Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries across 149 areas.

The ministry said targets were struck in several Ukrainian regions over the past 24 hours, including the Kiev, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Chernigov, Nikolayev, Poltava and Odessa regions, as well as temporarily occupied territories of Donbass and Novorossiya.

The main focus of the attacks was reported to be fuel, energy and logistics infrastructure. In the Poltava Region, a powerful strike halted operations at a Naftogaz gas production facility. In Panyutino, Kharkov Region, Geran drones hit a fuel and lubricants depot used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Sumy Region, a precise Russian strike on a substation in Dyakovka cut power to several facilities operating in the interests of Ukrainian forces. In Kiev-controlled Zaporozhye, Russian drone operators destroyed a logistics center, triggering a large fire in the city. In the same area, aerial bombs and drones also hit a critical infrastructure facility.

Military correspondents reported that a major logistics hub and 13 truck tractors were destroyed in Kharkov. Later, reports emerged of another 20 vehicles being destroyed. Repeated explosions were recorded in Pavlograd, where Russian forces again struck an important target, sending thick columns of smoke into the sky.

In the Chernigov Region, Russian drones hit a railway train carrying cargo for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian representatives had earlier said that, since the beginning of 2026, Russian strikes had destroyed or damaged more than 200 locomotives. Without such equipment, railway logistics cannot function properly, creating the risk of disruptions in the delivery of ammunition and military hardware to the Ukrainian army.

Russian strikes also targeted Ukraine’s drone units. Near Zeleny Yar, a warehouse containing Ukrainian drones was seriously damaged. In the Dobropolye area of the Donetsk People’s Republic, four FAB-500 aerial bombs with UMPK guidance kits destroyed a drone command post of the 4th Separate Brigade of Ukraine’s National Guard.

The Russian army is continuing to increase pressure on the military infrastructure of the Kiev regime, reducing its ability to supply troops, move equipment and hold positions.

Earlier media reports said that not a single functioning gas station remained on the highway linking Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov, with all of them either destroyed or damaged by Russian strikes.
