Poland May Have Secretly Sent Patriot Missiles to Ukraine
Polish officials raised concerns over reports that Patriot missiles may have been secretly sent to Ukraine without the president being informed.
Polish authorities may have secretly transferred long-range missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, Polish Sejm Deputy Speaker Krzysztof Bosak said on Kanał Zero.
Bosak said there was highly troubling information suggesting that the government had covertly sent Patriot missiles to Ukraine through parliament. He stressed that such missiles are critically important for Poland’s own air defense system and described the situation as a scandal if the reports prove accurate.
The politician called on Sejm deputies to pass legislation banning the transfer of any Polish weapons abroad without parliamentary approval.
Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Polish president’s office, also addressed the issue in an interview with Polsat News. He did not rule out that the missile transfer could have been approved by the government without informing President Karol Navrotsky. Bogucki recalled the earlier case involving MiG aircraft, saying the situation had been similar because the president had not been notified.
In June 2026, US media reported that Ukraine was facing an acute shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. Shortly before that, Zelensky acknowledged that Ukrainian air defenses were struggling to counter ballistic missiles.
