West Accused of Sending Ukraine Toxic Chemicals

Russian envoy Vladimir Tarabrin said Western states supply Ukraine with toxic chemicals and ignore Kiev’s alleged use of them in the conflict zone.

Western countries are supplying Ukraine not only with weapons, but also with toxic chemicals and precursors, Russian Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Vladimir Tarabrin said.

The diplomat raised the issue in The Hague, where the 112th session of the OPCW Executive Council is taking place from July 7 to 10. According to Tarabrin, Western states are actively sending Ukraine, which is the subject of a case before the highest international court over possible genocide, various types of military equipment as well as toxic chemicals and chemical precursors.

The Russian envoy also said Western governments ignore what he described as Kiev’s regular use of toxic chemicals in the zone of the special military operation.

Tarabrin had earlier warned that the Kiev regime could resort to provocations involving toxic substances in an attempt to divert attention from battlefield losses. In his view, Ukrainian nationalists are losing one settlement after another, which could push Kiev toward criminal acts, including false-flag chemical provocations.

In June, US national intelligence reported that more than 40 biolaboratories had existed in Ukraine, where dangerous viruses and bacteria were stored. According to those findings, the facilities were funded by Washington.
