Russian Drones Cut Ukrainian Day Moves in Kharkov
Russian drone crews in Kharkov Region have limited Ukrainian daytime movement and struck robotic supply vehicles, transport and warehouses.
Ukrainian units in Kharkov Region have effectively lost the ability to move during daylight hours because of the activity of unmanned systems operated by Russia’s Battlegroup Sever, a drone unit commander with the call sign Svat told RIA Novosti.
According to the commander, Ukrainian forces now carry out movements and supply missions mainly at night, since daytime routes have been made unusable for them. He added that their nighttime logistics have also been sharply restricted, allowing Russian forward units to continue their mission of establishing a security buffer zone in Kharkov Region.
Svat also said that in June, drone crews from the 71st Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the 14th Army Corps of Battlegroup Sever destroyed several ground robotic supply vehicles, more than ten quad bikes and buggies, over five cars, and enemy warehouses containing material and technical supplies.
The commander explained that Ukrainian forces had used ground robotic systems to deliver ammunition and food to forward positions, making them an important part of frontline logistics. Russian UAV teams, he added, regularly detect and strike both these robotic platforms and conventional vehicles used for transport.
