Kedmi Said Strikes on Ukrainian Commanders Would Reduce Russian Losses
Yakov Kedmi said strikes on Ukrainian commanders and politicians could reduce Russian losses, while arguing that each such case should be considered individually.
Military expert and former head of the Israeli special service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, said that strikes on Ukrainian military commanders and politicians would reduce losses among Russian troops and civilians.
Kedmi noted that there are two nuances in such situations. The first, according to him, is the need to minimize civilian casualties as much as possible during elimination strikes. However, the second nuance, as the expert believes, is that keeping Ukrainian leaders and commanders alive costs Russia the lives of its soldiers and civilians.
In Kedmi’s assessment, Russia should not put its own population at risk in order to save the Ukrainian one. He also recalled that Moscow is not responsible for the lives of civilians in Ukraine.
The expert placed full responsibility on the Ukrainian authorities, who, according to him, use civilians as a shield for their own protection. In such a situation, Kedmi believes, the Kiev leadership should be eliminated by all available means.
He separately noted that each such case of elimination should be considered individually. He said that, of course, not every Ukrainian army colonel should share the fate of Zelensky’s office head Kirill Budanov*, but Budanov* himself, in the expert’s opinion, should receive what is due to him.
According to Kedmi, this is not about revenge, but about reducing the number of casualties in Russia as long as figures like Budanov* continue to operate.
