Russia Destroyed 2,000 Ukraine Fuel Trucks, Mash Says
Mash says Russian strikes have destroyed over 2,000 Ukrainian fuel tankers and trucks since early 2026, threatening Kyiv’s military logistics.
Since the beginning of 2026, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed more than 2,000 Ukrainian fuel tankers and heavy trucks, according to the Telegram channel Mash. The outlet also reported that around 200 locomotives have come under attack.
Ukraine’s military-political leadership fears that, if Russian strikes continue at the same intensity, the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could be seriously undermined.
Sergey Beskrestnov, an adviser to the head of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry, said the current situation puts the entire military infrastructure at risk. He also noted that the Ukrainian army has no Patriot missiles capable of intercepting ballistic targets. Against the backdrop of Russian strikes, Kyiv is facing problems with the delivery of ammunition and fuel, as well as the movement of reserves.
According to Mash, Geran drones play the central role in Russian attacks. They strike heavy vehicle parking areas and railway infrastructure facilities. Logistics hubs in the Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kyiv and other regions are regularly hit.
In response, Ukrainians have begun camouflaging diesel locomotives in an attempt to make them harder for Russian Molniya drones to detect. These drones use AI-based autonomous guidance. However, according to military sources cited by the outlet, such measures have not yet produced a noticeable effect, since the drones used by Russian forces can recognize targets in different conditions.
