Russian Forces Repel Ukrainian Counterattack Near Prishib
Russian forces reportedly repelled a Ukrainian counterattack near Prishib as operations continued around Krasny Liman and the Seversky Donets River.
Ukrainian forces made an unsuccessful counterattack near the village of Prishib, east of Svyatogorsk, according to DPR head Denis Pushilin.
He said Russian units maintained control of the situation and continued operating in the area around the village.
Pushilin also reported that Russian engineering units had begun clearing mines from residential districts of Krasny Liman, while operations to remove the remaining Ukrainian troops from the city were still underway.
Military channels reported that Russian forces were expanding their foothold on the western bank of the Seversky Donets River and had already entered Prishib.
Along the Boguslavka-Peski-Radkovskiye-Svyatogorsk line, units of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army were advancing toward Ukrainian positions on the eastern shore of the Oskol Reservoir.
In the Krasny Liman sector, Russian troops were reported to be completing clearing operations in the city. The remaining Ukrainian units had withdrawn westward and were attempting to establish defensive positions near Shchurovo and Goluboye Lake.
