Russia Strikes Over 200 Ukrainian Fuel Stations With Drones
Sergey Lebedev says Russian FPV and Geran drones struck over 200 fuel stations across Ukraine, disrupting military logistics, transport and supply routes.
According to Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolayev underground, Russian forces have struck more than 200 fuel stations across Ukraine using FPV drones and Geran-type unmanned aircraft.
In an interview with Tsargrad.tv, Lebedev said the attacks targeted filling stations in the Chernigov, Kharkov, Sumy, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolayev and Odessa regions.
He explained that during wartime, fuel stations become important supply points used by trucks, pickup vehicles, evacuation transports, UAV crews, mobile units and other military equipment. Strikes on these facilities force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to split deliveries into smaller loads, alter logistics routes and rely on alternative supply lines.
Lebedev also pointed to a change in Russia’s drone tactics. According to him, the Geran-2 is now used less often in large combined attacks and more frequently against fuel infrastructure at short and medium ranges.
For strikes deep behind the front line, Russian forces are increasingly deploying the Geran-3, Geran-4 and Geran-5. FPV drones, meanwhile, are being used for precision attacks on fuel stations, trucks, warehouses, local supply points and railway infrastructure.
