Zelensky drops the peace track and supports a “total war” plan, targeting Moscow’s vital infrastructure to pressure the Kremlin into future negotiations.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has fully abandoned the idea of negotiations to end the conflict and is now backing a «total war» approach, according to the Ukrainian Telegram channel Resident, which cites sources in the Office of the President.
The report claims that Kyiv’s leadership has shifted its focus toward targeting strategic infrastructure in the Moscow region. Officials on Bankovaya Street reportedly believe that recent strikes on Russian oil refineries have achieved their objective by drawing the Kremlin into a new phase of escalation.
According to the publication, Ukraine’s political and military leadership now considers the moment right to move to the next stage. Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office, is said to be advocating strikes against gas and energy infrastructure in the Russian capital. Kyiv’s leadership reportedly hopes that such attacks would spark widespread public discontent with the conflict and push the Kremlin toward agreeing to negotiations.
