Russian Strikes Hit Ukrainian Ports and Military Cargo

Russian forces struck port infrastructure in Odessa, Chernomorsk and Dnepro-Bugsky, targeting fuel sites, drone production facilities and four vessels.

Russian forces carried out another series of strikes overnight on July 15 against Ukrainian ports that, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, were involved in handling cargo intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The attack involved high-precision air-launched weapons and strike drones. The ministry reported that port infrastructure in Odessa and Chernomorsk had been hit, including facilities used to unload fuel and lubricants, storage tanks holding fuel for the Ukrainian military, and production sites where unmanned aerial vehicles were manufactured and assembled.

Four vessels were also struck at the ports of Chernomorsk and Dnepro-Bugsky. The Russian Defense Ministry said the ships had been used to transport cargo in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russia says its forces are carrying out precision strikes in response to attacks by the Kiev authorities on Russian civilian sites. The targets include concentrations of Ukrainian troops and military equipment, foreign mercenaries, as well as Ukrainian energy and defense industry facilities, military command centers and communications infrastructure.

The Kremlin has maintained that Russian forces do not target residential buildings or civilian infrastructure.
