Russia-Ukraine Front Update: Advances Across Key Sectors
Latest July 16 front update covers Russian advances and ongoing battles in the Sumy, Kharkov, Krasny Liman, Konstantinovka and Zaporozhye frontline sectors.
Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of July 16, the situation across the main sectors of the front was reported as follows.
Sumy direction
Russian troops are engaged in small-arms fighting in Ulanovo and on the approaches to Malaya Slobodka. Clashes also continue in Ryzhevka, Pisarevka, Mogritsa, Maryino, Novaya Sech, Khoten and the forested areas south of Ivolzhansky.
Kharkov direction
Fighting is ongoing near Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, Podoly, Kurilovka and Kovsharovka. Battles are also taking place in central Kupyansk. Russian units are advancing south of Shiykovka, while combat continues near the village of Bely Kolodez.
Krasny Liman direction
Clearing operations are continuing in Krasny Liman. Russian forces are pressing forward near Shchurovo and Svyatogorsk.
Konstantinovka direction
Russian troops are advancing near Nikolaypolye. Inside Konstantinovka, they have also made progress toward Osykovo.
Dobropolye direction
Fighting continues near Shevchenko and Belitskoye. Meeting engagements are underway around Vladimirovka, Novy Donbass, Novoye Shakhovo and Shakhovo.
Gulyaypole direction
Russian forces are moving forward west of Kopani and Dolinka. Clashes are taking place near Novoselovka, while Russian troops are attacking in the areas of Gavrilovka and Kolomiytsy.
Zaporozhye direction
Russian units are advancing near Stepovoye and Malye Shcherbaki. Fighting is also continuing in the area of Lukyanovskoye.
