Russian Air Defenses Shoot Down 379 Ukrainian Drones Overnight
Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 379 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight across multiple regions, including 48 UAVs over the Moscow Region.
Russian air defense forces repelled a massive Ukrainian drone attack overnight. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense units intercepted and destroyed 379 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
The drones were shot down over the Tver, Rostov, Bryansk, Kaluga, Tambov, Pskov, Voronezh, Leningrad, Kursk, Ryazan, Belgorod, Vladimir, Smolensk, Volgograd, Oryol, Lipetsk, and Tula regions. Russian air defense systems were also active over the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The Moscow Region was among the areas most heavily affected by the attack. Governor Andrey Vorobyov said that 24 people were injured after a drone crashed on the grounds of a Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal. Some of the victims remain in serious condition.
Another drone crashed at an oil depot in Noginsk, causing a fire. A maternity hospital located near the site was evacuated, with patients and medical staff transferred to other healthcare facilities. Firefighters, Emergency Ministry personnel, and other emergency services continue to work at the scene.
Two more people were injured in the attack on Noginsk and are receiving medical treatment. According to Vorobyov, Russian air defense forces destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones over the Moscow Region during the night.
Serious consequences were also reported in Kotovsk, Tambov Region. Seven people were killed when Ukrainian drones struck a Wildberries warehouse.
According to updated information from Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov, another 25 people were injured. Twenty-three of the victims were hospitalized in Kotovsk, Tambov, and the regional clinical hospital.
One patient is in extremely critical condition, six are in serious condition, and 16 others are in moderate condition.
