Russia Says It Struck Ukraine's Neptune-2 Coastal Missile System Near Ochakiv

Russia says it struck the launcher and transport-loader vehicle of Ukraine's Neptune-2 coastal missile system near Ochakiv during overnight precision strikes.

The Russian military said it had struck equipment belonging to Ukraine’s Neptune-2 coastal missile system near Ochakiv. The information was published by the Russian Ministry of Defense on its Telegram channel.

According to the ministry, during the night the Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike using air-launched precision-guided weapons and drones against Ukrainian military facilities.

One of the targets was a position of the Neptune-2 coastal missile system near the settlement of Rybakivka, about 14 kilometers from Ochakiv. The strike hit the system’s launcher and transport-loader vehicle.

The Neptune missile system is equipped with cruise missiles developed on the basis of the Soviet Kh-35. The launcher of the base version carries four missiles with a range of up to 280 kilometers.
