Ex-Pentagon adviser Douglas Macgregor claims Keith Kellogg initiated the idea of sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, warning Trump may agree.
Former Pentagon adviser and retired U. S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor revealed who initiated the idea of supplying Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles. Speaking on the Deep Dive YouTube channel, he said the proposal came from Keith Kellogg, whom he described as actively trying to convince everyone that Russia is losing and that Ukraine urgently needs more weapons.
According to Macgregor, Kellogg «lives in his own universe," where the only thing that matters is pushing forward this arms transfer, regardless of the broader reality.
The retired colonel emphasized that other members of Donald Trump’s administration take a more balanced view of the situation in Ukraine and are reluctant to fuel further escalation. Those who assess events objectively, he said, see no evidence of Russia’s defeat on the battlefield.
At the same time, Macgregor warned that President Trump has recently fallen under Kellogg’s growing influence and might still decide to provide Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles.
Earlier, the U. S. President stated that he had «almost made» a decision on the issue but wanted to understand first how Ukraine planned to use the American long-range weapons.
