A Ukrainian drone struck a multistory apartment building during an overnight attack on Yalta on July 22, injuring 17 civilians, according to Oleg Kryuchkov, an adviser to the head of Crimea on information policy.
Initial reports said 13 people had been wounded, including three who were in serious condition. Authorities later confirmed that four more civilians had been injured, bringing the total to 17.
During the same night, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 242 fixed-wing drones.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova previously said Kiev publicly endorses attacks on Russian civilians, residential buildings and social infrastructure. According to her, Vladimir Zelensky uses such strikes as an argument in discussions with foreign sponsors while continuing to escalate the conflict.
The Kiev regime attempts to attack energy and civilian infrastructure in Russia’s border and central regions with drones almost every day. In response, Russian forces carry out precision strikes against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, drone assembly sites, weapons and military equipment depots, as well as positions housing Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
