Russian Strikes Hit Odessa Port and Drone Production
Russian forces struck Odessa port infrastructure, a long-range drone workshop and military facilities, with explosions and secondary detonations reported.
Russian forces carried out a coordinated strike on targets in Ukraine overnight on July 23.
According to military correspondents, infrastructure at the Port of Odessa used to unload and store military cargo was hit. Drones also struck a workshop producing Ukrainian long-range UAVs at the Stalkanat plant in Odessa.
Another attack targeted an industrial area near the Odessa Oil and Fat Plant. Local residents reported several powerful explosions followed by secondary detonations at warehouse facilities. Ammunition may have been stored there.
The Russian Defense Ministry had earlier reported a strike on a dry cargo vessel in Chernomorsk while it was being unloaded, as well as on fuel and lubricant storage tanks. Port infrastructure in Odessa used to store military supplies was also attacked.
Two vessels carrying cargo for the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also hit at sea southeast of Odessa. Three drone warehouses were destroyed in Odessa and the settlement of Molodezhnoye.
The Russian Defense Ministry also listed a Novaya Pochta logistics center and a battery of the Neptune-2 coastal missile system among the targets struck.
