Ukrainian FP-1 Drones Target Tyumen Oil Refinery in Strike

Ukrainian FP-1 drones flew over 2,000 km in an attempted strike on a Tyumen oil refinery, with debris found near Antipino and experts suggesting possible launch sites.

Ukrainian forces reportedly attempted to strike an oil refinery in Tyumen using FP-1 unmanned aerial vehicles, which managed to cover a distance of more than 2,000 kilometers. The information was shared by the Telegram channel Shot.

Fragments believed to be parts of a simplified version of the FP-1 drone were discovered on the territory of the refinery near the Antipino district. Each drone carries a 40-kilogram warhead, and analysts suggest that the reduced payload weight may have allowed engineers to install additional fuel tanks, significantly extending the aircraft’s operational range.

According to the report, FP-1 drones are manufactured at the Fire Point plant in Kiev, with each unit priced at approximately $55,000.

Earlier, drone expert Maksim Kondratyev proposed a possible launch scenario, suggesting that the UAVs could have been deployed from cargo vehicles positioned in the outskirts of Tyumen or possibly from the territory of Kazakhstan.
