The Telegraph reports that U.S. Tomahawk missile deliveries to Ukraine could take months, and Washington might restrict their combat use despite political impact.
The British newspaper The Telegraph reported that, if the United States decides to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles, the deliveries could take several months. The publication noted that even if the missiles never leave their launchers, their mere presence could still have an impact on Moscow.
According to the article, Washington might transfer Tomahawks to Kyiv but withhold authorization for their combat use. The newspaper suggested that the possession of such missiles alone could influence Moscow’s stance in potential peace negotiations.
Commenting on former U. S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks regarding possible Tomahawk deliveries, The Telegraph described his statement as being made in a typically ambiguous manner. A White House spokesperson declined to elaborate, saying there was nothing to add to the president’s comments.
Earlier this week, Donald Trump said he had «almost made a decision» on whether to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles but wanted to understand how Ukraine planned to use them before finalizing his position.
