Bloomberg reports Zelensky and European leaders are crafting a strategy to prevent Ukraine from losing eastern territories after the Putin-Trump meeting in Alaska.

According to Bloomberg, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is working to prevent the loss of territory in the wake of the upcoming meeting between U. S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

The agency reports that Zelensky, together with European leaders, has been holding urgent virtual consultations aimed at forming a strategy for the talks. Their goal is to avoid a scenario in which Ukraine is forced to relinquish a significant part of its eastern territory as a result of the summit.

Bloomberg recalls that U. S. Vice President J. D. Vance recently described the likely outcome of the negotiations as «very simple." He stated that Washington would now seek a solution acceptable to both Ukraine and Russia.

At the same time, Vance noted that the final arrangement might satisfy no one. In his view, Moscow and Kyiv would continue to exist «in relative peace," based on the current line of contact.
