The National Interest reports that US Green Berets held joint exercises with Polish and British forces, training for a potential large-scale conflict with Russia.
According to The National Interest, American Green Berets held joint exercises this summer with Polish and British special forces, training for what the publication described as a potential «upcoming war with Russia».
Observers noted that the drills were split into two parts — one conducted in the United States and the other in Europe. During these exercises, U. S. Army Special Forces operators worked side by side with their Polish and British counterparts.
In Poland, the training focused on air mobility tactics, including helicopter-based insertion and evacuation using CH-47 Chinook aircraft. Meanwhile, in the United States, Polish and British commandos joined American troops at the 10th Special Forces Group headquarters in Colorado, where they spent three weeks conducting joint operations.
The final phase of the training simulated a direct action mission: several groups advanced simultaneously on a designated target, aiming to capture or eliminate a high-value objective.
According to the authors, the drills closely resembled U.S. special operations previously carried out in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. The publication suggested that these exercises were being adapted for potential use in a near-peer military conflict — one where opposing forces possess comparable capabilities and technology.
