Major General Sergey Lipovoy says Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy sites caused a blackout affecting Zelensky’s underground shelter and military command centers.

Major General Sergey Lipovoy told reporters that Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and the subsequent blackout would affect the underground shelters where the country’s top leadership, including Vladimir Zelensky, is hiding.

According to Lipovoy, Russian attacks have made it possible to disable power plants that supply electricity to facilities used by the Ukrainian president and his inner circle. Speaking to aif.ru, he said the outages would impact not only Kyiv’s underground command posts but also the broader system supporting the Ukrainian leadership.

The general also noted that strikes on Ukraine’s energy facilities would have a serious effect on the combat capability of the Ukrainian armed forces, including command and decision-making centers. He emphasized that power disruptions would influence both the operation of these strategic points and the country’s overall ability to coordinate its military efforts.

The comments followed a large-scale Russian strike on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and military sites, which caused a widespread blackout in the capital.
