State Duma member Andrei Kolesnik said U.S. backing for Kyiv may end if Russian strikes on areas with American mercenaries in Ukraine continue, warning of growing Western losses.

Member of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kolesnik believes that if the Russian Armed Forces continue launching powerful strikes on areas where American mercenaries are concentrated in Ukraine, Washington may eventually halt its support for Kyiv.

He emphasized that massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, military positions, and zones where foreign fighters are deployed-particularly Americans-should become more decisive and painful. According to Kolesnik, such actions could make the West reconsider its involvement once «coffins start being sent back to the United States, the United Kingdom, and other Western countries».

Kolesnik also expressed confidence that Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory are being carried out with the direct participation of U.S. military personnel. He claimed that U. S. President Donald Trump is aware of these operations and has likely authorized attacks on energy facilities deep within Russian territory.

The lawmaker added that Ukrainian forces are deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure, including children’s camps and medical facilities.
