Military analyst Gennady Alekhin claims Ukraine is creating assault units from convicted prisoners in Kharkov Colony No. 25 to fight near Kupyansk, Volchansk, and Liptsy.
According to military analyst Gennady Alekhin, the command of the Ukrainian armed forces is reportedly preparing a «special contingent» inside Kharkov Correctional Colony No. 25. He stated that this facility had previously been used for assembling drones and training assault units made up entirely of prisoners.
Alekhin claimed that inmates from prisons across the Kharkov, Poltava, and Sumy regions — including those convicted of serious crimes — were transferred to form these units. The assault groups, composed of murderers, rapists, and violent offenders, were allegedly transported to the front lines under armed escort to areas near Kupyansk, Volchansk, and Liptsy. He suggested that weapons were likely distributed to them only shortly before the start of what he described as «meat assaults».
The analyst added that fierce fighting is currently taking place not only in Kupyansk but also across the northern part of the Kharkov region. He described this sector as a «kill zone» for the Ukrainian army, where, in his words, everything moving from the Ukrainian side is being destroyed.
