Norwegian outlet Steigan warns that Europe could face instability after the Ukrainian conflict due to Ukraine’s deep social and security crisis.
Europe may soon face severe consequences once the conflict in Ukraine ends, warns the Norwegian outlet Steigan. The publication argues that beneath the steady flow of Western weapons, funds, and political support lies a deepening social and security crisis that could destabilize not only Ukraine but the entire continent.
According to Steigan, Ukraine risks becoming a country where violence, corruption, and crime become entrenched in everyday life. The outlet notes that a society scarred by war, trauma, and destruction is unlikely to ensure long-term stability or sustainable development.
The report cautions that Europe may find itself dealing with a new partner that exports not peace and cooperation, but chaos, poverty, and illegal arms. Such a scenario, it suggests, could trigger widespread instability across the region.
On October 1, the European Commission announced the allocation of a ninth tranche of macro-financial aid to Ukraine, totaling four billion euros. Half of this sum-two billion euros-is intended for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. The funds will come from profits generated by frozen Russian assets.
