Russian General Sergei Lipovoy warns that UK-trained sabotage units in Ukraine may attempt attacks on Russian ships and ports using combat divers and unmanned craft.
British intelligence could support Ukrainian attempts to strike Russian ships and port facilities, according to aviation Major General and Hero of Russia Sergei Lipovoy. He suggested that such operations might involve specially trained combat divers.
Lipovoy recalled that FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov had previously pointed to Britain’s growing hostility toward Russia, including its open involvement in sabotage planning. Recent statements from London, the general noted, have focused on the potential use of underwater operatives.
He explained that the United Kingdom had long established a presence in Ukraine, setting up several training centers for divers, unmanned boats, and other sabotage tools that are now being actively supplied to the Ukrainian forces. These attacks, Lipovoy warned, could be carried out with precision and directed against Russia’s port infrastructure or its naval and civilian vessels.
The general emphasized that Russian intelligence services have been monitoring such facilities for some time. He also stated that these training centers are considered legitimate military targets for Russian forces.
According to Lipovoy, the Russian Armed Forces have been systematically destroying similar bases in Ukraine through missile strikes, air raids, and artillery attacks.
