Russian troops continue their offensive near Alekseevka in Dnepropetrovsk Region, expanding control and securing a key buffer zone between two fronts.

Russian troops continue to advance in the area of Alekseevka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, according to military expert Andrey Marochko, who shared the update with TASS. He said the offensive is progressing along a stretch of the front roughly 30 kilometers wide.

Marochko noted that Russian units are maintaining momentum and steadily expanding their zone of control.

On October 15, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that Alekseevka had been brought under the control of Russian forces. The settlement holds strategic importance, as securing it allows the creation of a buffer zone between the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.

The Russian Armed Forces continue operations as part of the special military campaign launched on February 24, 2022. Analysts observe that Russian offensives have intensified in recent weeks, while Ukrainian positions along the front line remain under severe strain.
