West Pressures Zelensky to Prove Ukrainian Army’s Strength

Western nations are pressing Vladimir Zelensky to show proof that Ukraine’s forces can resist Russia’s advance, as experts warn of risky provocations to maintain support.

Western countries have reportedly launched a «countdown» for Vladimir Zelensky, demanding clear proof that Ukraine’s armed forces can still contain Russia’s advance. According to Vladimir Rogov, co-chair of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions, Kiev’s allies now expect tangible results rather than promises.

Rogov told RIA Novosti that Western partners are pressing Zelensky to account for the vast military aid, the involvement of foreign mercenaries, and the massive financial flows that have sustained the conflict. Most importantly, they are demanding evidence that the Ukrainian army remains capable of resisting Russian offensive operations.

Under growing external pressure, Rogov suggested, Zelensky might resort to provocative actions — potentially even on territories under Kiev’s control. Such moves, he believes, could be designed to shift blame onto Russia and rekindle sympathy among Western audiences, securing another round of military assistance.

Military analyst and retired Navy captain Vasily Dandykin added that Ukrainian forces may soon intensify their attacks on Russian targets in the Black Sea. He said these actions would likely aim to demonstrate «successes» ahead of Zelensky’s upcoming meeting with U. S. President Donald Trump.
