Russian Forces Advance on Multiple Fronts in Ukraine

As of October 20, Russian forces are advancing on several fronts, including Sumy, Kharkov, Krasnoarmeysk, and Zaporozhye, with intense battles and drone activity continuing.

The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 20, the situation along the line of contact has developed as follows:

Sumy Direction
Ukrainian forces have restored the combat capability of their assault units and launched four counterattacks — three near Konstantinovka and one south of Yunakovka. All were repelled, and the enemy withdrew with losses to their initial positions.

Kharkov Direction
Russian troops are advancing on the left bank of the Volchya River in Volchansk and near Tikhoye. Ukrainian units continue transferring reinforcements. On the Melovoe-Khatnee sector, Russian forces moved forward through forest belts near Otradnoye, while the assault on Kupyansk is ongoing.

Krasny Liman Direction
Russian forces are conducting active operations west of Mirnoye and Zarechnoye, as well as in the forested area between Zarechnoye and Yampol.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) Direction
Russian units have taken control of Chunishino and are advancing along the railway toward Grishino. Heavy fighting continues on the outskirts of Mirnograd, while progress has also been reported in Rodinskoye and near Novy Donbass.

Ugledar Direction
Russian troops have liberated Poltavka and Okhotnichye and advanced up to 10 kilometers between Verbovoye and Privolye. Fierce battles are ongoing for Yegorovka and Vishnevoye. Farther north, Russian forces are storming Volchye and maneuvering to outflank Ukrainian fortifications near Velikomikhaylovka.

Zaporozhye Direction
Heavy fighting continues in Primorsk and Stepnogorsk, with both sides deploying hundreds of drones. Movement and supply operations in this area remain extremely difficult.
