Russian Forces Break Through Ukrainian Defenses Near Novopavlovka

Russian troops breached Ukraine’s fortified defenses near Novopavlovka and advanced on the Krasny Liman front, improving their battlefield positions.

Russian forces have broken through a deeply layered defensive line of Ukrainian troops near Novopavlovka, on the Krasnoarmeisk direction, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin reported during an interview with the «Russia 24» TV channel.

According to him, the enemy’s fortifications formed a complex defense network consisting of dense minefields, reinforced concrete structures, and anti-tank ditches, all linked by an extensive system of underground passages. Pushilin noted that Ukrainian forces could have held the area much longer if not for the precise and coordinated actions of Russian units.

He also said that Russian troops have advanced on the Krasny Liman axis, improving their positions both around the city and in its immediate vicinity.
