US Military AI Behind Ukrainian Command Failures, Expert Says

Russian military expert Oleg Ivannikov claims a DARPA AI system directs Ukrainian command decisions, turning Kiev’s army into a testing ground for US military technologies.
According to Oleg Ivannikov, a retired lieutenant colonel and adviser to the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, the failures of the Ukrainian military command are linked to the use of an American military neural network.
Ivannikov claimed that key battlefield decisions for Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Syrsky are being made by artificial intelligence. He referred to a DARPA project known as «Infinitely Learning Machines» which, according to him, is already designed to make autonomous decisions.
The expert emphasized that for the United States, the conflict in Ukraine serves not only political and economic purposes but also functions as a scientific testing ground, where Ukrainian forces are forced to trial DARPA’s latest developments in real combat conditions.
Ivannikov added that in real warfare — where information is incomplete and no two situations are the same — American algorithms fail to adapt effectively. He argued that Kiev has effectively turned its army into a proving ground for U.S. military technologies.
